Media Centre

The Media Centre is located on the 3rd floor of the BICC. Daily opening hours from Wednesday, 31 October until Saturday, 3 November are from 08.00 to 17.00.

One room is equipped with telephones, wireless Internet connection, computers with Internet access, printers and power plugs. The second is a briefing room where press conferences will be arranged between 15.00 and 17.00. Press releases, one-pagers and other relevant material will be available here.

Access to sessions

The press pass provides full access to all public sessions and events at the Symposium. Symposium presentations and discussions are on the record.

The plenaries and large sessions in the main presentation hall can be recorded from the balcony, where a multi-box is available. These sessions will also be webcast live during the Symposium and archived afterwards.

Press Programme

An orientation session for journalists will be held on Wednesday 31 October shortly before the first Plenary Session at 17.30. This will include a first briefing on health policy and systems research in general, on the Symposium in particular and its venue in China, as well as an introduction to the programme.

The Symposium communications team will help facilitate interviews and contacts with speakers/participants on request.

The official language of the Symposium is English. Simultaneous interpretation in French will be provided in plenary sessions and for one concurrent session in each time slot. Plenary sessions on 1 November only will be interpreted also into Mandarin Chinese.
